Top 50 Tracks of 2010: Acid Washed – Acid Washed (DANGER Remix)

December 16, 2010

17. Acid Washed – Acid Washed (DANGER Remix).mp3

Acid Washed go all eponymous with a track that mixes Italo-disco with Goblin, sounding not unlike Zombie Zombie pumped full of amyl nitrate. Adding zigs and zags is DJ/producer extraordinaire DANGER (whom we last heard dramatically reworking a chunk of the Scarface soundtrack).

Separately both producers are forces to be reckoned with. Together they’re nigh invulnerable. (Bonus points if you catch that reference.)

The keyboards and kick drums create a track that is at turns both ominous and gorgeous, filled with drops and builds that turn it into the aural equivalent of having your ass handed to you by the prettiest thing on the dancefloor.

The rest of the Top 50.

  1. Acid Washed? What does in-house fashion critic, RF Interference, have to say about that?

    • I don’t know but I’m sure that whatever it is will possibly include:

      – a jpeg
      – an embedded video
      – a caustic point-by-point dismantling
      – a fucking shinebox

I should come out smelling like a rose unless my non-metal tendencies are called out and jeered.

  2. “Nigh invulnerable” – The Tick

    • Spoooooooooooooooon! You win the keys to The City! Sounds exciting, but the only way in is by bus.

Excellent work, o/o. It appears we know approximately the same amount of useless information.
